FODAC exists to enhance the mobility, independence, and quality of life for everyone with limited mobility due to injury, illness, or birth or age-related condition. We recycle donated used home medical equipment (HME), making it available at low or no cost to clients. Items available include wheelchairs, power chairs, scooters, walkers, canes, crutches, bath and toileting aids, hospital beds, and special pediatric aids. Every $1 donated provides $10 of service. Our recycling processes keep over 400 tons of waste out of area landfills annually. Other programs include: Refurbished Assistive Technology. Vehicle Modifications installs lifts. Equipment Repairs. Disaster Relief Program sends HME to disaster areas. Creditable Program provides low interest loans for medical equipment.
