The Foundation was constituted in July 2000 and recognized legally by the Tuscan Region as a non-profit organization. The Meyer Children's Hospital Foundation works as a synergetic operational instrument of the hospital for all of the activities that improve the reception and the assistance for the children hospitalized. The Meyer Foundation raise funds exclusively to sustain Meyer Children's Hospital for scientific research, purchase new equipment, make the hospital environment more comfortable and for specific projects of reception. All operations of the Meyer Foundation are conducted under the principle of transparency, a value that is shown by the continuous application of the Transparency Code that dictates the deontological lines of the Foundation’s activity.
